Dozens of people briefly confused when they misread headline

On encountering the headline “Mormon filmmaker supporting Romney plans anti-bigotry ad campaign,” several people nationwide paused for a moment, having misread it as “Mormon filmmaker supporting Romney plans anti-bigamy ad campaign.”

“That’s odd,” thought Margie Evans of Lake Weekaugen, WI. She continued, “I thought them Mormons were all for having lotsa wives.”

Far across the country, Sophia Alvarez in Truth or Consequences, AZ, thought, “It’s about time those freaks cleaned up their act.”

However, upon rereading the headline and noticing their error, most of those affected chuckled briefly and went on to read about the impending Kid Rock/Pamela Anderson marriage. Fenton McAvee, of Salem, IL, briefly thought about writing another letter to Ms. Anderson, but decided against it out of respect for her betrothal.

  1. Truth or Consequences is in NM!
