EFY participants accidentally given rap CD; riot insues

Having received rap CDs instead of their copy of the official EFY 2006 soundtrack, several attending teens went on a rampage, destroying two buildings in the Deseret Towers dormitory complex on BYU campus.  Campus police quickly arrived on the scene and immediately booted several illegally parked cars.

“I don’t know what came over me,” said Judd Phillips, an EFY attendee from Levan, UT.  “I thought I was listening to something from Jericho Road, when suddenly I felt a need to shake my…um…rear, get some bling, and put a cap in dem bi…um, I’m sorry.  I think I need a nap.”

Apparently, the subtle Satanic messages in the rap music that these teens received caused them to behave erratically.  They began to “freak” dance and make inappropriate choices.  When counsellors tried to regain control by playing Kenneth Cope and Cherie Call, a riot erupted.  The violence wasn’t quelled until the BYU ROTC was called out to maintain order.

Carrie Jenkins, BYU’s spokesperson, noted, “We apologize to the parents of EFY participants for accidentally exposing them to the outside world.  We assure you that it will not happen again.”

The two buildings destroyed were already scheduled for demolition, due to falling residency rates.  “The Lord works in mysterious ways,” added Jenkins, winking.
